How We Work
We pay particular attention to how society and external environmental factors influence individual wellbeing
We’re here to celebrate Neurodivergence,
but more importantly we’re here to celebrate you!
Kinunity is a Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice.
This approach encourages understanding, acceptance and support for individuals with neurodivergent traits, fostering a community where everyone thrives. Neurodiversity Affirming Practice moves away from the idea of pathologising an individual’s deficits and focuses on appreciating the unique strengths and perspectives that neurodivergent people bring to life. A fundamental part of Neurodiversity Affirming Practice is while we acknowledge these unique strengths and perspectives, we must also acknowledge the adversity neurodivergent people experience living in a neurotypical-biased world.
Our services are administered by our multiply neurodivergent Director and Psychologist. We look beyond the individual in our Therapy Sessions and our Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach to ADHD & Autism Assessments. We pay particular attention to how society and external environmental factors influence individual wellbeing.
We amplify the voices of those with lived experience.
We’re committed to creating an inclusive and respectful community where you matter!
Working with you in a therapy session or during assessment sessions is an honour and a privilege we do not take for granted.
